childrens classes

Shoshin

Beginners Mind.

The best attitude to have to learn: excited about the possibilities that lie ahead, while respecting the knowledge of one’s teachers (Sensei) and one’s senior students (Sempai).

Children and Aikido

Learning Aikido offers children the opportunity to learn how to protect themselves while at the same time maintaining a respectful, empathetic attitude toward others. The physical training in the dojo becomes a metaphor for dealing with life’s challenges in a powerful, but intelligent and calm way. All that, and it’s fun too!

There is currently no Kid's program, but we do allow those 14 years and over to train in the adult program with the approval of their parent or legal guardian.
